Requirements
To be eligible to apply to join the Teach First programme you will need to satisfy these minimum requirements:
- 2.1 degree or above 300 UCAS points (or equivalent, excluding General Studies)
- Have a degree or A-levels that satisfy our Teaching subject requirements
- Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
- Flexibility to work anywhere within East Midlands, London, North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire
- Be committed for the duration of the two-year Leadership Development Programme
Academic Requirements
- If you have a degree or A-level (at A/B grade) in a STEM subject (these are Science, IT, Design Technology and Maths) you will be allocated to one of these subjects. Please note you must have two science A-levels to be considered for this subject.
- If this does not apply to you but you have a degree in a shortage subject (these are English, Music, Modern Foreign Languages and Religious Education) you will be allocated to one of the subjects. Please note we are also able to accept an A-level (at A/B grade) in English Literature or Language to teach English.
- If neither above apply to you then we will match you with your degree subject as best as possible with our anticipated demand for vacancies across the regions.

After these minimum requirements, selection is based on your ability to demonstrate relevant subject knowledge and the following competencies:

- Resilience - Loves a challenge and keeps going to overcome them
- Self evaluation - Knows strengths and weaknesses and how to use them to be a better version of themselves
