Events | Teach First

We run a number of events throughout the year on and off campus across the UK. Events are open to anyone interested in applying, not exclusively university students. Our events are hosted by our recruiters who are there to talk you through our application process and answer any questions you may have about the Leadership Development Programme. These events are also a great opportunity to network with other applicants, current participants and our ambassador community.

Check out the list of events we currently have planned across the country and register your attendance online.

Teach First employer presentation

Durham University

Find out about the excellent opportunities offered by our Leadership Development Programme (LDP), a two-year commitment that combines teacher training and a fully-funded PGCE qualification with one-to-one leadership coaching. Learn how you will develop leadership qualities that can be applied to any working environment, no matter where your career takes you afterwards.

In this presentation you will hear first-hand accounts of what teaching in a Teach First school is like, get details on how to apply for the LDP, and gain an insight into the social injustice that exists in the UK, where the link between low family income and poor educational attainment is greater than in almost any other developed country. You will also hear about ways to get involved with Teach First while you are still at university.

Drinks and nibbles will be available afterwards, with the opportunity to speak to members of our graduate recruitment team and to Durham University alumni who have already completed the LDP.
